Hi. Well I am currently playing as the USA, and it's 1941. Im trying to build up troops in britain to prepare for D-Day, but my navy wont come. (out of range) What im trying to say is, is there a way to get a force of; -2 carriers -6 Battleships -1 Heavy Cruiser -1 Light cruiser -10 Destroyers Across from America to britain? :flag_USA_ww2: :bb: :destroyer: -------> :flag_uk:
Are you allied with Britain? You might be able to use the REBASE command and pick a major British Port. Or REBASE to your closest port and try a Troop Transport command. If anything, thats the one thing i have a problem with in the game, sea transport. The AI always seems to not be affected by it for some reason.
Yes I am Allied. When I right-click on the Scarpa Flow harbour it only has 'none' as the only option.
Right now it's 1943. I clicked on where it said "this unit has no mission set" and chose Rebase. Queston No.2 How can i make my Paras (in Malta Right now) attack Catania (sicily). There are eneugh transport planes in Malta.
You need to load them into the planes (check your manual as to how you do that). Then select the planes and you should be able to tell it to attack Cyprus.
This is what I do, -select my paratroop army (3 divisions) -there is a group of 3 C-47s in an airfield in the same provence -I press the little parachute button in the Paratroop army to load them into the planes -Select the planes -I right-click on Sicily, the only option avalable is 'none' -On the mission settings, the only options are, 'none' and 'resupply' What am I doing wrong?
Perhaps you need to research Transport Planes another level? I think base level only lets you RESUPPLY and not Para-Drop.
Ha ha, after all these months not even researching the First paratroops, I finally realized you have to upgrade your doctrine! Time for an airbourne operation I think...
