Ok first off...I hope this is in the right forum if not then I do apologize in advance! Ok I know this is going to sound like a strange question and observation, but has anyone else ever noticed that in all his photos, past and present, and on film Hitler is never (at least to my knowledge) seen in shorts, or with short sleeve shirts on? Any idea on this? We know that the man was very self concious sure...but any reasons for this?
You got there before me, Sniper ! It's a famous photo, but I think it was bit of a one-off, even Hitler thought he looked a bit of a **** in Lederhosen. But then, Hitler didn't really feel comfortable wearing 'Civvies' of any sort, he much preferred to be in Party or military uniform ( keeping up the image....)
I read somewhere recently that Hitler was more comfortable in lederhosen and would have liked to be able to wear them more often. Something about him bragging wearing them in freezing weather. I have seen many different photos of him in lederhosen.
Aso his ability to wear short sleeve shirts, and lederhosen eventurally went away due to the number of injection scars on his arms and legs which were put there by his "Dr." Theo Morrell. All the photos of him in his "mountain gear" were pre-Morrell, he didn't get on the scene until after 1936 or so I think. He injected Der Furhrer in the thighs and calves when the tissue of his arms became too scarred, and his veins too weakened.
WOW!!! I've NEVER seen these photos before! Thank you so much for posting them! Still no short sleeves lol.
