From the AFI (American Film Institute) news-letter I recieved this morning via email. For fans of Kevin Costners movie: "Dances With Wolves" there is some great news that we have to report. We are happy to pass this information along to our members that the long-awaited sequal to "Wolves," is now almost finished filming in Montana and Wyoming and is expected to hit theaters sometime next Summer.

The title to the film is not yet set but is rumored to be called: "Dances With Weasels."

Hi Kai, that one and Waterworld. Both of them were stinkers for sure. I got disgusted with Waterworld when they were going to show him drink his own urine.

    Agree with you here Carl.
As an old miner I don't become easily disgusted by filth and dirt, but when watching this movie "Waterworld" I did.

I left the movie theater before it ended...
IMO, it really hit rock bottom.

Hi RAM, I don't know what the Director/Producers were thinking when they made that scene but, I think we all "got the point" to what was going on without actually having to see it.

I've never been a Costner fan, and only have liked him in one movie-which was: The Untouchables. I admit he did make a great Elliott Ness. Other than that, truthfully, had it not also had Sean Connery in it; I most likely never would have even watched that film.

Hmm.. a sequel to DwW, I will indeed be looking forward to that one. Maybe he is going to dance with the 7th?:D

Actually I found waterworld to be a very good movie. I noticed that this movie and Kevin Costner are well liked in Germany unlike the USA. How is that?
I have seen worse things in movies, then someone drink his pee, during survival training in the Army they even "force" (Ritual) you to do it.

If you'd ever been to Tombstone Arizona you'd know. The Germans are fasinated by the US Old West. Tombstone is overrun with German tourists. Its weird. On the other hand, as a "local" (eg., living in Arizona) I see Tombstone as "The town to dumb to die." It isn't worth the gas to visit and would not be missed if it dried up and blew away like so many other mining towns have.

What are you doing in Arizona, Chief?
I thought "arizona" was an abbreviation of "arid zones", and I guess you don't have many US Navy flattops sailing around Flagstaff.
I guess Mormon Lake would be too shallow...

I think Bear Grylls makes a point of drinking his own urine at least once every season on Man vs. Wild on the Discovery Channel. After you see it a couple of times, you get used to it . . . .

Well, that should be an easy task for the USN...:)

Let's have a nice Saturday night, but I have a tricky one for you tomorrow:
How to keep the Nazi U-boats out of the Bay of Biscay during the operation "Sledgehammer"...:D

Hi E, Kruska, DG et el,

E, Thanks for reminding me of that one-I too couldn't stand his version of Robin Hood. Give me Errol Flynns version any day and any time. Also, Morgan Freeman is a good actor BUT, he didn't belong in that movie at all.

Kruska, luckily I never had to experiance "Force-drinking" by anyone-heh heh cept at the hospital when I had to drink about 30 ounces of Berium mixed with sugar-free drink mix. While it was cold it tasted OK, but once it warmed up-well, I almost barfed.

DG, that's something I can't get used to. Last show I watched him on, he ate large grubworms he dug out of a rotten tree, and cought a fish and ate it raw-scales and all. That was when I changed the channel BTW ;-))

    :D:D:D

    Sorry guy's I just can't resist!!!

There is a war movie - forgot the title - but Carl won't want to watch it anyway:D. Its about a French Foreign Legion platoon in Indochina, anyway one young fellow gets shot and just before he dies off he wispers his last wish to his captain - "I am a virgin and never had a b... job". Well the accompaning nurse turns away in disgust and so the captain is .......... "Hey Carl come on don't turn away your head and place your hand on your chest"

The movie was actually well done on the combat scenes :D

    Regards
    Kruska

Probably depicting a pair of the former Waffen SS who enlisted in the French Foreign Legion to escape discovery by the war crimes folks. (just kidding, take it in that vein and don't get pissed).

Almost sounds like an Indochina c=version to the love story that made up at least 1/2 of the junk movie: Pearl Harbor. Only this time the love scene is between Josh Hartnet and Ashton Kucher. Yukk-not for me. Give me Anthony Quinns "Lost Command," Mel Gibson's "We Were Soldiers," or Duke's "Green Berets," movies anyday.
