Hi just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me. Im searching for info on a James Hale (surname could be spelt differently) all i know is he was american, from New Jersey and was most likely a paratrooper but this is uncertain. He would of been based in england during the month of october 1943
I was told that he was killed in an accident that happened at the base.
Because i have so little information Iv run out of ideas and was wondering if anyone can help ?
    Thanks

    Hi, Sandy

    Welcome to the Forum.

I've checked the American Battle Monuments Commission register and there's no James Hale/Hail interred in Cambridge Cemetery, which would have been the most likely place if he was killed in the UK. His body may have been repatriated to the US. I've had a look for Hale/Hail in NJ, but none ties up. The National Archive Database has these enlistment records. Don't know if you'll be able to glean anything from them.
