This is Site Quote.. not me..

After chickening out on my previous visit to Jogashima island, I decided to return to the Japanese island once again with cave exploring gear. I was determined to fully explore the former Japanese World War II cave and look out on Jogashima Island. Of course, just like last time, it was a test of courage. Actually, it would be more accurate to say that it was a “test of guts”.

Jogashima is a southern island at the tip of the Miura Peninsula. It was an important look out during the war because it gives you a very good view of incoming ships coming into Tokyo Bay.

After taking one last look at the sunny beach, I went ahead and entered the man-made cave once again (much to the horror of the Japanese around me). This time, I came equipped with a powerful flashlight and a pair of steeled toed Navy boots.

When you first step inside, the first thing you notice is just how much room there is (initially). The next thing you notice is the scattering sounds. Unlike last time, the cave was more lively then usual with a new visitor.

These shelled insects looked like something out of Jurassic Park. I noticed when I used my macro on them, they raised there stinger tails at me.
