After he returned from the war, he was employed for 25 years and retired from the Berkshire Knitting Mills, Wyomissing, then worked for 20 years and retired from Maier's Bakery, and continued to work part time at the old Shillington Market and Reading Hospital. He was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, Millmont. His love of the Phillies and Eagles was surpassed only by the love he held for his family. During the spring and summer months he could be found happily tending his vegetable garden. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
