Hello everyone, this is my very latest ek2 I purchased from a German friend.
It was picked up by him from the family of Hauptmann Fritz Scherer who won the RK
amongst his awards. I will get to see the RK when I go back out in June next year.
This L11 is in great condition, like the other I posted.
    All comments welcome.

    regards John

Hi John, darn GREAT find. All I can boast about that I have that was worn by RKTs are 4 pairs of shoulderboards-one to a Major in GJR 98, one to a Lt, in IR 81, one to an Olt in the 1st Pz Btn Grossdeutschland Div and the other in a Kav unit.

Hi Carl, they are quite a find too, have you provenance with them?

Hi John, I do have some provenance on the GJ Majs boards, and the Kav boards as well as the Grossdeutschland boards. The I.R. 81 boards I have a paper on it which is in German and it supposedly fully explains anything one might ask on them. I got these froma good German dealer whom ive had a great buying relationship with for about 12 years. He as selling this RKTs stuff seperately and the boards were the only items I could afford-though still pricey-even for 5 years ago. The Kav boards came from a person who used to be a member of this site whose family has a huge traditional military background going back 4-5 hundred years. The boards were boards that the mans family gave to him for some reason many years ago and then i got them from him about a year ago. The GD boards come from a huge Panzer collection in Europe and I got tuned into these by anothe Panzer collector. These items also have provanance but I cant say much more on them without having the stuff with me to type more ;-))

Forgot to mention, the GJ 100 Rgmt Majors boards came directly from his family who sold off most everything already and these were what was left behind. I got these thanks to knowing another GJ RKT who told me about them. The only provanence I have on these are a letter from the Majors family which also states that thanks to the other GJ RKT I knew (Micheal Possinger) that that was how I came by these ;-)) Sadly, I dont know if I still have this letter or not? as I moved 3 times since I recieved it and some stuff got lost last year when we moved from Houston to Austin. Jeff knows a tad bit more detail on my loss-as I was going to send him soemthing extra from the collection but the box apparently was on eof the things that flew off the moving trailor last year :-(
