Is this the place where the exhibits were all outdoors in a forest where the actual battle took place, where the exhibits included a Panther, a Sherman with it's turret ripped off and a B-25 & Spitfire?
I seem to remember going to it when I was much younger in the 80's and thought it was a great place.

I seem to remember a section that was kind of fenced off as we were led to believe it still had mines buried there which looking back couldn't of been the case but as a youngster it was exciting throwing stones into it :D

A lot of action in and around Overloon is described in the book: The forgotten battle" written by A. Korthals Altes and N.K.C.A. in 't Veld.

Other great paratrooper museums in the Netherlands are "Liberation Museum 1944" in the city of Groesbeek; "Bevrijdende Vleugels" in Eindhoven, and "Hartenstein
    Airborne Museum" in Arnhem.

IMO and of many others the Overloon museum is very poor.
A lot of replica items, expecially the Fallschirmjäger section!
None are wearing the right shoes for instance...

And not to forget, they selled a Sherman thank who was in the battle of Overloon to Italy!! That's absurd, that's not how you collect and build a museum, by selling the key items of that battle. Such items should be restored on the right spot with the right history!

If you wan't to see a good museum go to the new one at Baugnez, Malmedy.
Only questionmark I have of that museum is why they made a parkingplace of the field were the Malmedy massacre took place... not very respectfull I think. They would do better of making another memorial or something like that on that spot and let the visitors walk a few meters further when they want to visit the museum...

I think if you can get over some of the inaccuracies (I, for instance, am not knowledgeable to notice things like shoes) then it's an excellent museum. The quality of the vehicles is astonishing.
