Lt. Fritz Rumpelhardt (KC holder) passed away

    Leutnant Friedrich "Fritz" Rumpelhardt, Heinz Schnaufer's radar operator, has died, age 90.

    Rumpelhardt guided Schnaufer through 100 victories at night. He was awarded the Knight's Cross on July 27, 1944.
