    Hello,

I invite those interested in the history of the 453rd BG, USAAF to visit my memorial website at http://allies.cz.cc. The site is dedicated to the memory of Lt. Wesley Bartelt's crew. Their B-24 was shot down by the Russian fighter pilots on March 15, 1945, near the Polish town of Konstantynow. You will find there the commander's first-hand account of that mission and the video featuring the B-24 radio operator Mr William Louis Carslon, who sadly died in March this year. My grandmother was a witness to that tragic event and it was from her that I learned about the story.

The above Polish from google translate:

    "Good morning Mr. Marcin,

My name is Dorota Salus. I am part of the KPE Eksplorer exploration group, which discovered the crash site of the B-24 you mentioned. Can I contact you in any way? My email: salusdorota@gmail.com"

Hopefully my comments will be understood despite an apparent language barrier. I'll email the original poster directly and see if they will respond to you or this thread. I'm hopeful, but please be aware the original post is from 14 years ago and he/she may no longer be available. Sadly, the original website if offline.

As a side note, I do not recommend you post your email publicly.

I used the WayBackMachine to try and see the original memorial site since it is now unavailable. There is only one capture in 2010, but the original site was a flash module, which the internet archive did not collect.

All is never lost. I stumbled on the 'Chutes- the -Works' video purely by accident after over ten years of searching. Suddenly it just appeared after numerous interpretations of asking 'Jeeves' ? Yeah I'm even older that that .

Unfortunately, no. I tried to find a copy with the WayBack Machine but the site was not stored.

I did sent an email directly to account belonging to martini/Marcin Żółtowski, inquiring about the video, but I have not received a reply. I've no idea if either he or the account are still active. It also appears that "Marcin Żółtowski" is a somewhat common name, with at least a dozen LinkedIn profiles. Maybe that application of a process of elimination might identify him.

Please be sure to subscribe to this thread. We might very well have a reply in a few months when someone googles that same topic as you, and/or the original thread starter replies.
