m17 camo

    as you can probably tell by now my main collecting is helmets,this is my only ww1 lid, it has a reverse swastika on the front but i have been told it may have been used by freikorp after ww1 as only later did the swastika turn the other way, rgds Dave

    That helmet is a beauty, the stencilled swastika was certainly added after WWI and a mid 30s training helmet might be a hypothesis.

    Great camo. I know where I could get a few of these painted with the same kind of scheme. These are at a small museum in a small town not too far from San Antonio. They have several on display and if I were sticky-fingered? I could easily take one and nobody would notice.

    However, as all their relics are on display and nothing behind glass (depending on a persons honor) these items are there for the hands-on inspecting.
