    Another findagrave memorial, and another gentleman in my family tree. This one was not created by me, however.

    Parents were Thomas W Cotten and Martha Caywood. Married Willie 1952, and Linda Stewart 1975.

    OBIT-Temple Daily Telegram-ROCKDALE-Services for Marvin Wesley Cotten, 74, of Milano will be at 3 pm Saturday at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery near Milano. He died Wednesday, Aug 6, in a Bryan hospital.

    Mr Cotten was born in Milano to Thomas Wesley and Martha Elizabeth (Caywood) Cotten. He attended school at Liberty community near Milano. He was a veteran of World War II, serving the US Army. He was a former city of Caldwell police officer, owned and operated a bulldozer service, was a pumper and driller in oil fields and most recently was a rancher. He lived in Milano most of his life, except for a short time in Houston. He married Linda Stewart on May 7, 1975, in Georgetown. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church near Milano.

    He was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Joy Cotten.

    Survivors are his wife, of Milano, two sons, Frank McQueen and Joe McQueen; one daughter, Jeanie Jerkins; six sisters, Louise Smith, Joyce Yakesch, Irene Jones, Evie Pounders, Dorothy Moore and Vivian Covert; two grandchildren; and two step grandchildren.

    Memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 2000 N. Highway 36, Caldwell, 77836. Visitation will be 10 am-9 pm today at the funeral home.
