May be visiting bastogne soon! NEED QUESTIONS ANSWERED!!!

Hi, Recently, ive been thinking about taking a trip to Bellgium, near Bastogne for souvenir hunting. I'm a minor, so my paretns are going, aswell. I was planning on going hunting around the Easy company memorial, because I saw a video of someone hunting near there on youtube. He only found bullets and the such, which is good enough for me. Are there any restrictions of digging, walking, etc around that area? And also, what is a good simple metal detector? And whats the likelyness of me to find these items, and where abouts should I look? ( IE: under trees, in holes, where?) And does anyone else have any advice on other places near there to go hunting?
