So my grandfather fought on the Eastern Front. He didnt talk about it for obvious reasons, but i do know he took part in the battle of Sevastopol. We have lots of old pictures and so forth i would be happy to post for those interested. But his daughter, my mother, married an American serviceman, my father. My father has always been an amateur history buff, and especially in WW2 history. He collected Nazi memorabilia. So when my grandfather passed he left his collection of old items to my father. When my father passed this year, he left it to me.Im keeping all of the pictures and so forth, but i think i may sell the daggers and some of the medals, i know didnt belong to my grandfather. The link is here: Flickr: Photos from chops20gsu Does anyone know if these things are worth anything or if there are buyers for these type of items?
Better close ups of these items would help. Some are easily identifible others because of glare or their small size in the photo are not. Most German military memorabilia of the WW 2 period has some value to collectors. There are likely others here and on the net that can give you rough prices.

PS, I like your username-which means to Scram or to Get Away from me.
You bet they are worth something. Don't know about the sack. But the flag is a Kriegs flag or war flag and in good shape should bring about $500
Very nice collection. Much nicer than the collection I just picked up. But, again that is a collection that I would think would be worth some decent money to a collector. Regards HM
I would say Carl maybe on the conservative side in his estimates, Don't sell it. Wehrmacht stuff is sought by more collectors than anything else except samurai swords. Would like to hear of some of your grandfathers history on the Ostfront. Thanks for the pics, nice collection. I'd say the girl was a keeper too
Indeed mi bookie, I am conservative on estimates. I just want to point out that most of the "big" dealers are ripping everybody blind with high prices. Also, one usually does much much better when dealing mainly or only, with other collectors. Right now I have a deal going on that is worth about $800.00 I know that's not a big deal these days but, im going to get some nice-very nice stuff. ;-))
