    Amazing tale of another who "just did his job". That was an ironic twist to end his military career. I haven't checked yet but the Colonel definitely needs to be added to the Roll of Honor here at WW2f.

    this site is better .. Medals UK - World War 2 Medals here are some of them, 14-15 star, ww1 british war medal, victory medal, 39-45 star, africa star, italy star, french/germany star, defence medal, ww2 british war medal. some of the others! like the crosses, are gallantry medals..

    interesting story Ray........shame such men are often forgotten about, but nice to read about them getting the recongition they deserve once in a while

    Men should be remembered not for the amount of metal on their chest but for the actions themselves. Ordinary men who did extraordinary things.
