Hey all!! Ive decided to start collecting military insignia again. Does anyone else here collect metal and cloth insignia from WWII to the present? Im looking for mostly modern European insignia. For example East/West German,Polish,French, ect. Any one with extras? Access to get any? Any one looking to sell or trade?

I collect Militaria-mostly Imperial and WWII German w/ a few modern Russian items. I USED to have some modern East German stuff-i.e collartabs and stuff but, I gave all that away years ago.

AS for any extra German stuff I have-mainly extra pairs of Inf, Arty, Pz and Gebirgs-officers collartabs. I might have done some trading a year or so ago but, im now doing "themes" w/ my cloth insignia and can't spare any of my WWII stuff at this time.

The only extras I have of anything else, ie in my Iron Cross 2nd Class collection. I have about 20 EK2's dating from 1870, to 1957. I MIGHT have an extra '57 Iron Cross 1st Class Wiederholungsspange (Bar to the 1914 EK 1-but the 1957 verion meaning-no swaz is on it)

Hi JC, somewhere in the dust bins of all my stuff, I have (or had) about 15 WWII American shoulder patches. If I can find them--and thats a BIG if, i'll gladly give them to you. All of them are Infantry Division patches including:

1st Inf Div "Big Red One" 2nd Inf Div, 3rd Inf Div "the Blue and White Devils/Rock of the Marne Div" 4th Inf Div "Ivy Leafs" and I forget what the others are that I have as it's been about 20 years since I last saw them. Anyway, all are original WWII American patches-and as I do not collect American, I really don't care what they might be worth today but would be happy to give them to someone who has more use for them than I do. Also, I have an unissued pair of WWII Master-Sergeants Chevs/. Last time I saw these, they were with the shoulder patches. Anyway, like I said above, IF I can find them, I will let you know and give them to you. There should be a total of about 15 different shoulder pathes and the one set of Master Sergeants Stripes.

If it turns out that I no longer have them, you can blame that on my oldest Brother, as I caught him trying to throw them away at one time back in 1988. I was able to rescue my Dads stuff as well as my Grandfathers stuff.

    Best regards--Carl.

PS, most of the patches-if I recall correctly, were in excellent condition but some were taken off of uniforms. The Master Sergeants stripes had that blu-greyish color around the edges-which is how I know those were WWII made patches.

Thanks Stefan I sure will. I used to have an extensive collection of over 30 years work. But lost them all after a very bad break up :(. Not like with my wargaining miniatures and other things I get to start all over again. I really miss my WWII US collection though. I had collected them since I was in grade school.

Hi JC, it will be my pleasure to give them to you--that is, providing I still have them. I'll know for sure after I move hose-as they may be in some box I have not opened in years. I'll let you know for sure when I finish unpacking.

Looking for the same thing.. I also have this patch, which is on a jacket I wear.. Made in Hong Kong 100% cotton .. army green : brand name .. Ultra pink.. makes clothes for fun
Patch is on the left sleeve
    U.S.Marine.. picture of a ship/barge with cranes ..345E
I was also wondering if it was a real patch or just made up?
