If anyone on here hasn't heard of this museum I highly recommend you check it out. They have the most comprehensive collection of WW2 memorabilia in the world. The owner used to open it only to his friends but not it's available to the public. Unlike any other museum I've been to they have a hands on approach here. You can pick up and hold any of the guns, and ordinance they have on display. They even have a Sherman tank!!! I have only been once but I'm in talks with the curator about volunteering there.

This looks pretty good! Thanks for the post.

Lived in Southern New England all my life (50 years) and never heard of this place!

Yeah not many people have I don't think it's been open to the public for to long. You have to book a date and time through there website and you have to fill out a few forms. The 25 dollar entry fee is well worth the experience. The items on display are unreal it's all from one man that collected it through the years. He was even able to get a piece of the sofa that Hitler committed suicide on.

Makes me wonder how much my Iron Cross is "worth".....
Incredible that one guy (I assume quite wealthy) could amass all of that.
Must have been a lifelong passion.
    Truly amazing museum.
