Hello to all in this Forum.

My name is Martin, I come from Germany and my main field of research is the 419. Bau Pionier Bataillon and the 194. A.R. ( Artillerie Regiment) of the 94. Infanterie Division. I do alot of more research about my ancestors lost land and hometown Würbenthal in the german Sudetenland. I research the political situation of the first republic of czechoslovakia ( with all the suppression brought to the Sudetengermans in this time) til 1938 and the german ( in my point of view) liberation of the Sudetengermans in 1938 and the integration into the german third Reich. In nearly every family in Germany there are MIA and KIA Relatives. So are in my family. My Grand uncle fought in the 194.A.R and was missed on 1.st of December 1942 in STALINGRAD. My Grandfather (his brother :) ) was severly wounded in September 1944 in the Ostpreussenstellung ( He was a member of the 419. Bau Pionier Bataillon) and was luckily to survive as a wounded soldier in a hospital the War. His unit was destroyed later in January 1945 til February in the Konigsberg fortress and in the Heiligenbeil battle of encirclement and annihilation ( inglorius named as Heiligenbeiler masticator or meat chopper)
My Family was expelled in 1946 from Würbenthal by force and cruelity from the czechs. My Grand Grandfather had been taken hostage and was forced to slave labor in the glas making manufaktur in Würbenthal until 1965. In 1965 the czech state kicked him out without paying rent for his slave work. The Karaus my Family lived and settled there for serveral hundred of years !
To us Sudetengermans, the czech dealt with us in utter unjustness, with murder, and unspeakable torture and cruelity. Nowadays on both sides there is no interest to clarify what happened from 1945 til 1965. sad but true. My main goal on my website is to explain and to understand what happened in this merciless times. And to keep up with the rememberance of my fallen relatives, to tell their storys even no one will hear it nowadays.

    greetings Martin

Hello Martin, welcome to this fine forum and thank you for telling us about your site. I ignored Sudeten Germans were still in the Czech Republic in the 60s. I thought they had mostly been expelled in 1945.
