I bought a new tunic for my infantry collection. it's a waffenrock for an oberleutnant. It has loops for three awards and a "feldspange". Now I have to buy the awards and a mannequin.

Nice Infantry Officers tunic my friend. I'm in the process of finally trying to complate my Artillery majors uniform. I think I am about to be able to get a nice set of Officers Books as well as an officers Belt and buckle. After that--all I will need is a holster for my P-38 and a set of britches. Then i'll have my 1st complete uniform and then I can work on a second ;)

    Thanks for the nice comments!

A good friend of mine is also completing his first tunic and it is also an artillery's major tunic.

I will not go that far. I only buy medal for the tunic and maybe a belt. Boots and trousers I don't buy. A complete set is nice but it's just a matter of money and priorities.

    Good deal my friend.

For me--i'm finally trying to complete what I started from 5 years ago by getting the rest of the uniform. I might as well--since I have all the accessories to go with the Majors uniform--minus britches belt and boots. I have canteen--messkit, a map pouch (which is in bad shape and i'm looking for another one) and some personal type items like toothbrush, a can of shokokola (SP?) chocolates, and a tin of tobacco.

I wish I had an MP-40 to go along with this uniform tho the person would most likely never have thought of carrying one.
