New year in ww2/Nazi Germany

    I'm wondering how it was in WW2 and Nazi Germany ( and the occupied countries ) on December 31 and January 1, google can't make me any wiser..

    The same as today : people were drinking beer,and ....they were drinking bee r .
    I forgot,they were drinking beer . :cool:

    Don't know myself, but considering for the occupied counties, not too good. For Germany New year 1941 probably seemed good to the average German, but the others would seem pregnent with forboding.
