this it? Thank your "little Sister" for the great job she's doing!

Veteran's Widow Gives New Life to Old Glory | wltx.com

Detroit Free Press -- Old Glory gets prime exposure throughout the year at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly Township, but on Veterans Day -- one of the nation's most solemn federal holidays -- the flag's appearance takes on even greater significance. Situated just inside the entrance to the 544-acre cemetery is the Avenue of Flags, 100 flagpoles that stand like patriotic sentinels along the roadway that winds through the graveyard.
No one feels more of the burden of pressure to ensure that the Stars and Stripes look their finest flying high atop each 50-foot pole than Bernadette Keen, 57, a Burton resident whose part-time job for the past four years has been maintaining the supply of flags used at the cemetery. ......

It is not to hard for our family to be patriotic. My sisters and brother lived with it every day.The Ike jacket in the back ground is a representation of my fathers. He landed on D-Day + 31 with the 12th Army Group,72nd Publicity Service Battalion.Attached 3rd Army, five battle stars. Then 7th Army to build points, then to the Nurnberg trials. He was then assigned to the 3rd Army,1st Division,26th Infantry. He met my mother in Nancy while setting up a press radio in her garage, before the Bulge. They married after the war was over.My dads first cousins included 2 sailors,1 naval aviator(TBM's),a B17 engineer/top gunner, shot down,POW and others I am tracking down.Dad was a past post commander of the VFW,involved in obtaining benefits for vets.
To top it off his uncle was in the AEF,80th Division,115th Field Artillery,314th FA BTL,B Battery. How strange it must have been for him to be on the same ground 26 years later.
No it is not hard to be patriotic in the shadow of these men.
