Hi 36th, though I do buy from Weitze on occasion-and just recently got four items from him-he can be a bit pricy on things. That's a decent-llooking Knights Cross of the War Merit Cross w/ Swords-but that's much too high a price for it. I think he had 5-6 of those for sale on his site? I remember looking at them while looking for soemthing else to buy ;-)) I know adealer who right now-had a KC of the KvK w/ swords. It has its ribbon but a small part of the hilt on one of the swords was damaged-but not too badly to where-if I had the money? that I would pass on it.

I noticed that Weitze also had a nice pair of Signals Officers Collartabs for sale-at about double the price I had paid for a minty pair I got from a Canadian dealer-just back in March or April. Signals tabs sets can be hard to find-it took me 12 years to finally snag the pair I got. ;-))

Thanks for posting the pic of it though ;-))

I noticed the price on the one I posted above went from €7750 to €6000 once I signed in...... Yes, a little steep! I was looking at a few shoulder boards of his as well and the price is just too high. Will wait and see what else comes along. Did you see that pair of Panzergrenadiere boards he has on there? Those are nice.

Hi 36th, first-I forgot to post the price that dealer I know who has a KC of the KvK w/ swords: The dealer I know who still has yet to sell his-has had it that I know of for at least 10 years now never changing the price on it-has it for $1,400.00.

I too noticed the rather higher prices on some of the other examples he had. The only way I can think of that he can sell those particular KCs-is because of newby collectors who get too excited and buy up anything and everything-just because it has a Swaz on it. I just recently saw on a Canadian dealers site-a nice looking KC of the KvK w/ swords-for about $2,000.

I did see those P.G. boards. I think he a set of Leutnant and also Majors P.G. boards. I have two pairs of P.G. Leutnants boards-one worn and still has the smell of gunpowder on them as well as dirtied up fronts. The other pair I have are mint unissued-are also Leutnant in rank, and also still has the original manufacturers paper sleeve around them ;-)) I think mine were made by Heitzmann und Sohn (SP?) I did consider getting those P.G. Majors boards and are still toying with the idea now ;-))

Let me know what kinds of and ranks of boards your interested in and I can usually find you a better deal on a nice pair. If your mainly into Army-let me know. I know a few dealers who usually have a nice selection of Army Boards for sale.

I took a look at Kai Winklers site and was a bit disappointed in the lack of stuff he had listed-as well as his prices. I couldn't look at Detlevs stuff because I forgot my password for his site. I hate that some German dealers are making one do this just to look at pics of stuff. I think a Statement of Agreement of somekind is more than enough.

    Hello Carl,
I really don`t have anything special I am looking for. If I see something I like and the price is right, I will pick it up. Mostly I look for Heer shoulder boards and Luftwaffe collar tabs!! Thanks!!

Hi 36th, im pretty much the same on picking something if I like it and if the price is right ;-)) Speaking of LW tabs. I have two pair of LW Hptms tabs both at the rank of Hauptmann, both are matching sets. One if for LW Signals and the other is for LW Flak Artillery. It's been awhile since I last looked at my LW insignia that I still have-so I can't remember off-hand which pair (only on the right tab and not too badly distracting) one of the tabs on one set has one small area where a moth unfortunately had lunch at at one time. The other pair of tabs are flawless. If you might be interested in these for a trade? please let me know ;-)) I already know of what I wouldn't mind getting in trade for these and I will make it worth your while since im not a dealer-I don't "need" to profit off of these. Im basically just getting out of LW and im getting rid of all my Luft stuff first. After that will be most or all of my KM stuff. ;-))

The only items im keeping for sure are my Army and Waffen SS stuff.

The KM stuff im thinking of shedding are:

Mint KM Destroyer War Badge made by my favorite maker-which is F.O. for: Friedrich Orth, a few cap tallies incluing: wartime Kriegsmarine cap tally, Kommandantur Wilhelmshaven Tally (which also was part of a grouping (not originally) but a grouping I had intended putting together-which includes a postcard sent by a man serving in Wilhelmshaven-as wel as a full-sized and minty ID tag made of Aluminum to a guy stationed in Wilhelmshaven. These three items did nto belong to the same man but everything is Wilhelmshaven related and I was going to make a display at one time using these items together.

I also have one mint Brass made-and smaller sized ID tag with the mans name on it instead of letters and numbers gobbeldy-gook that is normally seen on tags. The mans name is Hermann Rummelsberger.

The other tally I still have left is my Wilhelm Gustloff tally. This is the much rarer "Colorized" tally. This one was cut down to fit into a photo album and was one I got from Detlev-about 9 years ago. This tally is one im only considering getting rid of-but that snot yet set in stone.

I also have a Brass-cored EKI that I have not yet thought of getting rid of but is a possibility. It would go nice with the mint Uboat badge I am also considering getting rid of but that's not yet setin stone either.

And lastly, on the KM stuff, I still have two pair of Shoulderboards that are mint matched pairs for a Korvettenkapitan (looks like Infantry Majors boards) and to a Communication NCO. These are currently promised to another member here but im not sure if he can still get them because of some unexpected financial business that recently came up for him to be burdoned with. Anyway, before I say more on the boards and the Wilhelmshaven stuff, ill await his decision on them before these are committed elsewhere.

Im just getting oput of LW except I might be keeping my miny early war silver-nickle Pilots Badge made by Assmann und Sohn and their mark is the stylized "A".
