    Ever wonder what it was like here when the South Coast was home to one of the largest lumber ports in the world? Well, wonder no longer because the Coos Historical and Maritime Museum recently acquired one of the preeminent maritime photograph collections on the entire west coast.

    The museum is currently in the process of cataloging, scanning and conserving approximately 50,000 images apart of the Victor C West

    Thanks Ray, I supose that if someone stood around taking photo's of ships coming and going and gathering details about the ships today would soon have a visit from Homeland security/FBI

    Very cool. Being a maritime buff, I hate living in the desert sometimes as I can't see cool stuff like this.
