    Operation Frühlingserwachen! (Spring-Awakening)

The last major German offensive of the war, doomed to failure from the start. After having perused the wikipedia article on the battle I have become rather interested, as there was much information lacking. Being able to actually retake ground from the soviets as late as March '45 seems astounding. Any additional information, maybe photographs or maps, would be real 'neat' ;-) . Thank you in advance!

I would say go check out JJF publishing from Canada and if your budget allows pick up the solid and hefty book Drama between Budapest and Vienna. the whole operation from the W-SS general staff with the W-SS divisions are covered in much details with colored maps through out, only about a 100 photos that seem to be a rip considering the book is a large sum at over $ 100.00 US but it just might be what you are looking for. at least 20 plus years ago this was one of the last major titles produced from the publisher Munin Verlag in Germany all books were written in German and the photo quality at the time was very good, not like the re-dos of today in English when photos appear dark. Munin is out of business or has taken a definate step in reversal as I have not heard from them in many years.

type in JJF publishing on the google search engine, the site is huge with an incredible amount of titles

I suppose I'll have to give eBay a shot! The book sounds extremely engaging, I'm a huge history book fan trust me, and the price is no object, getting a hold of it though...well wish me luck (because I have become severely interested in this)!
