Sorry Peter Jackson but you failed to beat the classic King Kong of the 1930's so I am not holding my breath. The proof is in the pudding, we shall see what his results are of remaking the classic, The Dam Busters.

 

The classy actors are all old or gone. Niven, Fox, Caine.

New actors are trying to hard to be something that they are not. Why can't they develop their own style??

 

It'll be a disaster - if it ever happens.

Well, don't tell me they're going to have British actors playing Britsh roles, how would that sell in America .

How about Richard Gere for the lead? No not to play Gibson, I was thinking of the lead for Nigger - after all, if he played Gibson how would they get the oxygen mask over his nose .

The first question is will there be Lancasters in the film? or shall we find the real truth there were B-17´s actually?



I also hope there will be great personalities starring in it and not like the Star Wars where in the last two episodes it was like " Hey all my friends get to play a part in the film!"

I don't know what to think. I've seen the original and I loved it. I'm skeptical with the way movies are being made today but, I'm also optimistic that he'll stay to what is correct.

I don't think you'll see B-17's, instead of Avro Lancasters...Kai, now thats preposterous. Lets give the guy a little credit.

I think it would be interesting to give them another test run. But, how about casting the majority of the Band of Brothers cast into this film? Not all of them clearly but, most of them were english actors...why not see what they can do in an English format instead of like the "BoB" American format.

Gibson goes on to marry Princess Eva Brunhilder and makes a fortune after perfecting the self-loading Labrador and the Inter Continental Ballistic Shitsu.

I like it - can’t wait for the prequel showing Gibson as a child growing up on his uncle’s farm for dyslexic goats near Dagenham, Nebraska .

Marne, I do believe Mr Jackson did show what a great man he is with his work of the "Ring" series. However, the marketing powers can make some strange things happen, but I hope not this time!

On the persons playing positions I fear we´ll be seeing some the following:











( Just afraid Mr Stiller might be willing to go for a serious part??!)

ALso Mel Gibson might need a bit of a "face-lift" with his career,right?

ANd Arnold would be perfect for the German side??

PS. I always thought "Chewie" would have deserved a series of his own. The youngsters with Eva?

Whatever you feel Kai. My only reservation is with Dicraprio, unless he plays Nigger's bone or perhaps the peasant the first test bomb bounces on .

I don´t mind actually even if we have total strangers doing the acting if they fit the script and add to the film. However several stars with ongoing deals might be interested/sent by their studios to get their name back up in the head lines so that´s the group I was expecting to be in the queue for the film as Mr Jackson is close to being the "hottest" film director at the moment.

BTW, Maradona already in the "bombing run" during rehearsals...

 

Hey Kai,

I wouldn't knock Ben Stiller just yet. We haven't even seen him in a serious role yet. So, who are we to judge? You can't compare it when you don't have anything to compare it too.

Ben Stiller played a small role next to John Malcovich in "Emprie of The Sun" which I though was a great film for its time, which was done by Spielberg. The role in which you see him in the film he did a pretty good job. AND it was a serious role....(gasp) not a serious role!

Well we've got someone to play the bomb then. He can dive and he can bounce .

If they ever remake 'Fat Man and Little Boy' he'd be in like Flynn for sure .
