Great collection of pictures there. The Helicopter looks like a Westland Wessex to me, the MiG-17 looks more like a MiG-15 too.

As for the unknown WW2 era German device, I thought it looked like a submunitions dispenser of some description so I had a look on the warbirds resource group. It looks similar to the AB 1000-2 container desribed here: http://www.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/LRG/ab1000-2.htm but without fins. The weights seem a little out, to be honest I'm not too up on WW2 bomb types, but except that it probably isn't an exact match for the AB 1000-2 it seems probable that it's a submunitions dispenser of types.

I reckon the gun pack is possibly from a Fw190, the reason being in cut-aways I've seen the outer cannon on the later Fw190s could be removed and replaced by a pair on each wing (Minus 1 cannon, plus 2 per wing), Bf109s could usually have single underwing cannon mounted on each wing.

The MiG that can only be seen from the front is visable from the side in the picture of the Bofors gun. I think it might be a -15...

Would be the most logical to..a 17 and a 15 (why would you want 2 -17's?)!

BTW forgot to say nice pics...makes me want to go to Brussel meself (nice collection altough like many museums not all is well maintained)!

I recall the sign saying that the gun carriage you photographed was indeed from a BF109. However, I recognize it from one of my models, but then it was mounted on a FW180 nightfighter... clueless...

The Canadair THINGY is a CF-100 Canuck, built by Avro Canada, not Canadair.
There is a chance that the F-86 THINGY, or the T-33 THINGY, or the F-104 Starfighter THINGY, or the F-5 THINGY (whoops, no picture of that or the Canso PBY built by Canadian Vickers/Canadair) were built by Canadair, but no the CF-100.

Excuse my preoccupation with THINGY, it just hurts seeing an airplane (especially a Canadair airplane) referred to as a THINGY!

I believe the helicopter in question is a CH-34 or maybe UH-34.

Superb collection of aircraft--and photos--thanks for sharing. I especially loved that Mosquito, though I prefer the machine-gun solid-nose over the clear-nose version. (Was that example a pathfinder?)

    One minor correction...
The subject you refer to as a Thunderchief is in fact an F-84 Thunderstreak.

My apologies, unsuccessful attempt at humor. You went to the museum, you took the pictures, you posted them for everyone else to enjoy, go ahead and call them anything you want!
