What's the world's coolest looking plane? My top pics are F18, Su33, Migs 25 and 29, F117, SR71 and A12, F16, A5, and F4 (I dunno it just looks good to me).

In my eyes, the F-16C Falcon is one of THE most handsome contemporary fighter aircraft out there. It reminds me of a modern-day NA P-51D Mustang. (Big, blown bubble canopy, dorsal air-intake.)

Ta-152,Beaufighter,Mosquito.
Modern fighters; F-22, Super Mirage 4000(maybe my favorite modern fighter-unfortunately victim of the oil crisis of the '70s ), Su-35.

 

Actually a huge intake like the F-16 was (unofficially but still part of) the failure of Boeing's X-32. Part of that's a shot from a game's opening sequence...from just above level the intake look far bigger than it is.

Wow nice F18 pics Ome Joop! Wait, those are F20 Tigersharks. They look so much like F18s. Apart from the wingtip-mounted AIM-9s being absent, they're identical F18 twins!

 

Don't look like F-18's to me. Must clean my glasses....no they still don't look right. Must be me. Still, pretty fierce looking bugger's aren't they?

 

It's an Iranian converison of a Northrop F-5

I think these are pictures from an Iranian military wargame exercise called, "Blow of Zolfaqar".

Looks like a prototype, but do you know if Iran is planning to develope this F-5 conversion, or have already done so?

I think it's some sort of light attack fighter but don't know idf they are planning on production...

The F-16 is the best looking plane ever.Close seconds would be the F-22 raptor, the MIG-29"fulcrum" , and the Eurofighter Typhoon.

 

No way, the absolute coolest has to the B70, F18 and Su33! Right behind that would be the F117.

 

For some reason , I hate the F-18. Dunno why I hate it , :-?
