    A very nice gesture from member here, for help that I gave him, a really nice guy is jason..we have been chatting, and he has helped me too, with computer issues I had...:) a very nice postcard..

    dated 1940, josef rogg, and writing? I hope to get translation of, ray..

    I can read German, because my mother is German. but the handwriting from the old days are always hard to read.. i can make an atempt, got higher res pics?

    What is that gun? Looks somewhat like the US .30 cal.

    in English and German. The german text i will recieve tonight. Ive got it translated by a German hunter (friend of my uncle) with 70years of age. He could read it a little

    besten dank fur die karte. mir geht es ganz gut. nachdem wir... Soldaten wieder gut sind, werden sich nicht mehr in Linderburg... Kommst du nicht bald auf urlaub? Die andern waren alle schon, biss auf gotfried, ludwig der in polen sind. Der linde und fred(?) kommen jetzt nach Frankreich.
    Viele grusse sendet dir dein freund...

    Many thanks for your postcard (letter), It's going great with me. After we ... soldiers became healty again we are not comming to Lindenburg. Are you not going on relief shortly? The other allready all went. Accept Gotfried and Ludwig who are in Polen. Linde and Fred(?) are being send to France.

    reads pretty much the same as the translation I recieved robby , now compare.. My WWII german postcard, Translation! finally...
