During WWII on Okinawa, my dad's unit was the USMC Light AA Group, 2nd AA Artillery Bn, FMF Pacific. His service record states that he could wear the Presidential Unit Citation award.

Where could I read about what his unit did to earn this award? There should be something around somewhere.

    Thanks,

It would seem your dad was part of either the 1st or 6th Marine divison see www.wikipedia.org/wiki/presidental_unit_citation_
