Anyone here familiar with the Private Hargrove movies?? I just saw: "See Here Private Hargrove" as shown on TCM. It starred Robert Walker and Pvt. Hargrove, Also included are other recognizable faces including Chill Wills who was the voice of Francis the Talking Mule in those-movies. This is a Army basic traiing/comedy movie. On seeing it for the first time and in glorious black & white. Its somewhat akin to Andy Griffiths: No Time For Sergeants Army basic training comedy classic.
I haven't seen it, but I've been meaning to. I was really mad because it was supposed to come on TCM a few months ago, but it didn't because they were doing a tribute. But it ended up working out because They Were Expendable came on the next day
I'll check the guide and catch it if I can. If it is anything like "No Time For Sergeants" I owe ya' one!
Hi WWIIV and Biak. WWIIV, you will like it if you get a chance to see it? It was pretty funny and ive only seen it once-which was before this thread got posted ;-)) Biak, I have not seen NTFS in a few years so would have to see it again as well as Pvt Hargrove-to be able to determine if they have the similar-type of formulas ;-)) BTW, did tyou know that there was a Tekleplay of No Time For Sergeants? Sure was and most of the movies cast was also in this version. I used to have a copy of both of them on VHS tape but the tape was stolen from me about 10 or so years ago. And sadly, last I looked, neither was available on DvD.

My father's side fought with the Germans and my mother's side fought for the American's. I love that movie See here Private Hargrove. I wish it was available on DVD.
