Oh great, 'animal rights' anti-vivisection campaign group leaps on random bandwagon that has nothing to do with the poppy appeal's intentions and work, in cheap shot at outrage publicity.

I just read their website's rather dull list of campaign 'triumphs'.
I'm about as impressed as I am by White Poppies.
    ie.: Not very.

Campaign on what you like, but don't jump on a well-established and respected (one might even say revered) symbol to raise a bit of controversy.

If you give to a Poppy Appeal (and I hope you do if it runs in your country), give to the real one.:

The Poppy Appeal - The Poppy Appeal
Poppy Facts - Veterans Affairs Canada
RSA - Remembrance - History of Poppy Day in New Zealand
    RSL Poppy Appeal — givenow.com.au
    etc.

Hear, hear. There's enough people using charities for their own ends without it being allowed to spread to the poppy appeal.
