    Hi
Can someone give a few tips as to how to start tracing someone's 'path' during the second world war? My father was called up in '41 at 21 yrs old. Due to BSc in Maths, he was mainly concerned with radar work and apparently travelled to several countries, - always arriving 'too late or too early' , according to him!
I have a few photos and 'rank' entries in London Gazette.
    Any pointers would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Brenda.

I am far from an expert in this matter but I will give it a try. Have you any living relatives on your father that you could talk with? They may have memories or better still, they may have letters or documents that you can use to establish his trail.
I have found a cache of personal letters to home that have given me a rough road map. I am researching the locations and my family and I plan to return to Europe to visit them. We also have a short audio clip of my father-in-law of an interview he did with his grandson before he died. It has been very valuable.
Let me know how you are doing and maybe I can help futher.

    All the best.
