reno air races....way cool!

    i justb returned yesterday from reno air races at old stead afb ,nevada....mustangs and tigercats and bearcats...oh my!...airforce thunderbirds, b25 ,p40 k,hellcat (first one ive ever seen,flying)tigercat,predater drone,a10,ac130,phantoms,f16,18,sabre ,t33 ...all flying,not static......it was really neat ,my own 10 year old was ooohhhin and aaaahhhin big time....cant sneak past the cops to get under pylon one anymore...all cyclone and razor wire now...dang it!....seeing a p51 pass overhead 50 feet at 400 mph is something that must be seen in person to truely appreciate...i really wanted my kid to see that but useing boltcutters on fences is where i draw the line....lol damm the nanny police...bob hoover doesnt do his double loop 10 feet over the runway in his rockwell shrike anymore...(thats with both engines turned off btw)...i guess he is just too old (a mustang jockie in the eto,he must be 85 by now....) the spitfire ,mustang,hellcat drivers are fadeing fast now...i salute again americas greatest generation....glen miller band plays softly in the background.....
