If it was anybody else than LaToya ( or their father ) I might think they had some reason to say this....

The main problem here is that there isn't one, a fortune I mean. He was going on this last tour to try and make some money to salvage some of his assets from foreclosure.

He sold off his (or a portion) printing rights to the old Beatles songs, which he bought for a pittance when the Beatles broke up, and were keeping him afloat these past few years. It was frustrating for Paul Mc. to have to pay to perform his own work, although he and MJ were supposedly good friends.

Neverland is, or was under forclosure threat. And Michael had sold off a great number of other things to pay for his latest legal battles. There just isn't any fortune to steal. I think I read he was in debt to the tune of a couple of hundred million. I'll look around for the reference again. I think LaToya is just grabbing for headlines, like her sister did with her "wardrobe malfunction". What a crock.

Wolfy, stop hijacking this thread. This has nothing to with how they look. Stay on topic.

I am pretty sure their father also claimed that MJ was murdered (didn't mention anything about his fortune). But you are right, there is very little left of his fortune and he was virtually bankrupt. He owned $500 Million in assets that would/will have to be sold off to settle his debts.

I believe the Jackson holdings of the Beatles songs publishing rights have already been sold off to a branch of the Sony corp., at least that is what I recall. Could be wrong.

    And I was (wrong), looked it up and while that section of his "estate" is a bit tangled it appears his estate has a portion of that publishing rights left in its control;

    See:

    http://www.crikey.com.au/2009/07/10/after-michael-jackson-part-2-beatles-become-jackson%e2%80%99s-security-blanket/

It really tell the whole story quite well, I mis-read it apparently!

The Sun has posted so many "official" obduction articles that nobody trusts them on this. Well did anyone trust them for along time...

Anyway, if we get the real story then we know if it was the drugs that killed MJ. To be honest I have been surprised by so many music businez stars about their "tablet diet" that actually I would not be surprised if MJ did kill himself. Just remember Heath Ledger.

Then again I would not be surprised if they would never tell the truth about the obduction findings.

BTW, just read the MJ merchandise for the "This is it!"-tour is being sold online?!

Hi Clint, I heard the same as you and have to add that I heard that he was paying $100,000 dollars for rent per month. Now I have to wonder that if he was as broke as he claimed-then why the heck would a ""broke"" person pay $100,000 dollars in rent per month? Some cloud coo-coolang thinking there.

My way of thinking on spending is-if I really see that I can't afford it (with a very few exceptions-such as trying to save groupings from being split apart) I don't buy something no matter how much I want it-if I can't afford it. Cases in point of recent-I found two absolutely mint Krim Shileds-one with Army backing the other LW. I would have loved to have both Krims-though I already own an Army Krim) to add to the collection. However, I resisted the urge to buy. Of late, I have not purchased more photot and such for the collection-and the money is starting to add up again-thankfully. ;-))

British Tabloids are notorious for printing scandal , half truths and lies. If they can pay a celebrity to put their name to it even better. The type of people who read these "newspapers" are rarely deep thinkers but are well up on Celebrity life.
I would take it with a pinch of salt.

Well siad Kai. I do believe his death was caused because of taking a lethal combination of too many prescription drugs. My late Uncle-had been taking 17 medications prescribed by his trusted doctor, when one day he felt really ill and went to see another doctor. He told the doctor that he felt like he was going to die. The doctor told him that if he didn't quit taking all those meds-that he would die. My Uncle quit taking those meds and lived several more years.

Anyway Kai, because of things like that-I do believe like you mentioned in other wording ;-)) that he passed away due to too many drugs in his system. I think if anyone should be looked at-was the doctor he had who prescribed all of those drugs-or most of them.

Too true, and sometimes it isn't even the fault of a single doctor. A person can, and many do, keep differnent doctors in the dark about what another is giving them. Sometimes lethal combinations can end up in a person's system with each individual physician having prescribed his own meds well within the limits of lethality.

Didn't Anna Nichole Smith end up with meds from like three different Dr.s in her system, each without the other's knowledge? I think that happens alot, and not just to celebrities either. As in the example of your own Uncle.

I keep a little "folder" in my wallet with all my meds (an amounts) written down on it just in case some guy in an emergency room gets hold of my old bod, and I'm in no condition to recall everything I'm using for both cancer chemo maintainence and blood-pressure control. If they aren't known about, there could be adverse reactions to other meds which "seemed like a good idea at the time", and which might just kill my butt.

Hi Clint, your probably right about the drugs and multi doctor thing. Like you, I keep a list of meds in my wallet just in case. Luckily im only on three meds now but have to take a multi-vitamin as well as a anti-acid tablet. One of my meds is commonly used for High Blood Pressure even though mine is normal. I have to take this one once twicea day to help try to control myEssential Tremors. The two other pills are alo used to control my tremors-but none of these together-still completely control them. I still have to hav eBrain Surgery because these tremors are getting more worse by the month and it's very hard for me to not only hand write anything-but also now is getting harder to type.

Anyway, I suspect there are a multitude of peoples answers here that all will come out as to having been a factor in MJs death,.
