I am getting my masters degree in World War II history and I am writing a dual thesis on the problems the Germans had with converting their railroad cars to a Russian gauge so they could transport supplies better. The only info that is really available/documented are the efforts made around Kursk. After that, the idea became more of an effort to capture Russian trains instead of converting there’s, less manpower. I wanted to know if anyone has a diagram of the measurements for the Russian gauge so I could make a diorama showing the two differences. Trumpeter makes some good German 1:35 scale tracks, now I just need to make the Russian counterpart. I’ve tried some conversions of the measurements for each, but man, it does not look right when I observe the pictures I have of the Russian Gauge.
