Saddam Husein has been captured. He was found alive in a hole near his home. They was no fire fight. He was unarmed and so where his follower's nearby.
Definitely not bad... but the most important aspect of it is the help for Bush in the upcoming election.
hell with politics right now boyz, where's the hangin tree ? There was no place to hide and it's just a matter of time till the next boy slithers on a rope
Shoot the bastard Also, Saddam's capture shows how much of a phoney he is. Didnt even put up a fight, hell, so much for Al-Jezeera's hero. Cvm
Naa…….give him a shovel and have him bury all the remains of the massacred unearthed, then turn him over to the mothers No.9
Instead of shooting him I think it would be better if he spent the rest of his miserable existence in some prison. I find it sickening that people like Saddam, and the leaders of Al Queda and, Hammas etc. send out young boys to die when, their not willing to do so themselves.
Gentlemen, even though there is no reason for any positive sentiment or mildness towards Saddam, I must admit to be slightly shocked about some statements in here! I would expect a more rational reaction, for example discussiing the consequences. Will terroristic resistance collapse now? Will WMD be found? Who will jundge over Saddam, is Iraq the suitable place? [ 14. December 2003, 02:30 PM: Message edited by: KnightMove ]
1)yes 2)yes 3)The Iraqi Council 4)yes </font>[/QUOTE]1) Will reduce certainly, collapse completely I'm not sure. 2) If they are ever to be found, it is now as likely as it ever will be. 3) Agree 4) Yes.
I think that if he is executed then the Iraqies might look at him as a martyer. But I still think he should be executer though.
Will terrorist resistance collapse now? Don’t be silly. Will WMD be found? You meant will Sadman incriminate himself and justify the Allied action? Really? – Only if he’s offered a plea-bargain deal – quite likely. Who will judge over Sadman Can only be an Iraqi court – anything else too risky. is Iraq the suitable place? As above. Schickelgruber may have only had one ball, but he had more balls than Sadman – at least he had the bottle and decency to top himself! No.9
It was absolutely great news to hear! Great to see a terrible human being finally captured and a great veil of uncertainty has now been lifted from everyone. Paul Bremer's very quaint and subtle message was very stirring, and the media reaction was breath-taking. He now has to answer for the blood of 1 million human being's blood being on his hands...
Call me a realist, but I don't think his capture will end the unrest for some time to come. Remember, this ain't Berlin 1945. The former head of state, nor any representative of the former head of state has not surrendered yet. This will still be seen as an insurrection/betrayal of the state of the biggest kind by a lot of loyal Saddam supporters and, more importantly the perception will be that the government is a puppet state not dissimilar to the Vichy government in France during WW2. And closer to home...how long did the Northern Ireland thing go on for? Despite the sincerest efforts of the Allies The fight will go on ... unfortunately
1. Hitler (physically) had both balls, all other rumors after the war are AFAIK pure invention. 2. Hitler never was named Schicklgruber (see Loosely Associated Quiz) 3. You think it proved balls to kill himself and sneak out of taking the charge for his deeds, man???? You're the first person I ever met who thinks so.
Yes, I think this was a good thing to happen. Actually I was surprised how sad and humble he looked like....
I must confess, when the war ended I thought Saddam to be dead. I couldn't imagine a regime to collapse that completely without the dictator being dead. Well, I was wrong.
