Samual Alexander Phillips, Canadian Pilot

    Hi

    New to this. We are research GD Savage's war history. He lost his life on 12/13 June 1944 on LL678 Lily Mars. We are trying to find a photo and information on Samual Phillips, J/16550. He was a Canadian Pilot on this flight who also lost his life that night. He was due to take over after this misson.

    LL678 JI-L2 was lost while on Operation Gelsenkirchen and crashed at Zuid Loo, Overijssel Holland.

    It was a Halifax II from 514 Squadron .

    One of our members is a former Canadian Pilot who used to fly at 514 Squadron. He might have known S. Phillips.
