Heard last night that they are going to play together again next season! They were awesome together in Anaheim and now with someone like Sakic or Forsberg in the middle I bet the defence of many teams will be crying like "girls"....

    Teemu Selänne

In 1996-97, Teemu played his first full season on a line with Paul Kariya and set team records for goals (51) and points (109). The end result was the Mighty Ducks' first ever trip to the playoffs. That year, he played in his fourth All-Star Game, won his second First Team All-Star honour, won his third Best Player of Finland Trophy and was the runner-up to the Lady Byng Trophy. On April 16 against the Coyotes, Teemu was the first player to score a playoff goal in Mighty Ducks' history. In 1997-98, he co-won his second goal-scoring title (this time tied with Peter Bondra) and broke his own team record for goals in a season (52). He also broke team records for game-winning goals (11) and longest goal-scoring streak (11 games from October 21 to November 10). At the mid-season All-Star Game in Vancouver, Teemu won the All-Star MVP Trophy with three goals for the World All-Stars. At season's end, Teemu finished third in voting for the Hart Trophy and second for the Lady Byng Trophy. He was also named a Second Team All-Star.

In 1998-99, Teemu paced the league with 47 goals and won the inaugural Maurice Richard Trophy. He also finished first with 25 goals (team record) and 54 points on the power play. He played in his sixth straight All-Star Game (one goal), was a year-end Second Team All-Star, a finalist for the Lady Byng Trophy and runner-up for the Art Ross Trophy (107 points). He was also the league's Player of the Month in February. In 1999-2000, Teemu played in his seventh All-Star Game and led the Mighty Ducks with 52 assists and six game-winning goals.

And don´t forget his first season 1992-93:

By the end of the season, Teemu had co-won the league's goal-scoring crown (tied with Mogilny) and established rookie records for goals (76) and points (132).

Paul Kariya, Joe Sakic and Teemu Selanne - Is it too early to call this the Roadrunner Line? What a fast trio this line figures to be - and skilled. All three are burners, with lethal shots and tremendous hands. Kariya and Selanne were great when they played together in Anaheim, and that was without Sakic between them. This might go down as the best second line in NHL history.

    And what a deal!

Karyia signed for just 1.2 Million!!! (this way he gets to be unrestricted next season though) He could have got 9 million if he wanted it, but I guess playing with his best friend is worth 7.8 million. What a team, its too bad they will be in the Northwest division :( :( :( :(
    I am scared :( :( :( :(

    Oh well GOFLAMESGO!!!

All those Finnish goalies are doing well too, Kiprusov was absolutly amazing, its so bad he sprained his ACL. He would be an all star.

Anyone else here following the world juniors?

    Sure thing Brad!

We have the Junior World Hockey tournament in Finland right now and some great games...

Finland beat the Russians with the winning goal coming only 13 seconds from the time.

As well ( unfortunately for me ) the US beat Finland 2-1 after some really magnificent hockey from the Finns as the game was coming to its final moments....Well, it happens...

    ;)

So it´s the US and Canada that fight for the Junior Gold medal. Finalnd and Czechs for the bronze.

No goals for Detroit in two games in a row in NHL...Any Kiprusoff fans out there?

Of course the team works as one but must say the goalie looks pretty good...

I suppose San Jose has regretted this "sale" for a while now...
