does any one happen to know the offical name or type of watch worn by US airborne troops during WWII? if youve seen band of brothers, Winters is wearing one in the first movie. its got a green canvas strap with silver (i dont know what metal) colored watch, the face is black and the dials are white. there are markings every 5 minutes. if any one knows what it is or where to get one i would be greatly apriciative! thanks
This is an interesting question. I am no expert on the subject but I never knew the services to issue watches. I hope someone can illuminate on the subject further.
