I'm still away from the comp - R/L workload is killing me - Word from the wise - truck driving and PC addiction dont mix. I'm still here though and will try to peek in a little more often but it's hard to get time to put together posts atm =(. made a small donation - hope it helps, the sites looking fantastic !

 

Hi Gothard, nice to hear from you and thank you for the support. I appreciate your donation which is in no way small.

I just remembered that you are a truck driver. I drove 15 years here in Finland and Russia and middle and south Europe. I know it is not the way where you may be in internet world all the time. What kind of truck are you driving? I had a Volvo FH12 when I quit it, great truck.

 

I've got 4 trucks - 1 GMC, 1 Freightliner, 1 Peterbilt and 1 International. I haul trash right now, when I was doing OTR I ran mostly Volvo and Peterbilt.

 

I remember few years back when Russians bought thousands of Internationals from U.S, they were those cream colouring extremely ugly trucks. They were also atleast million kilometers driven and in very bad shape. I think they were from military or something.

But I have always liked the way how Volvo made their version to U.S, nice truck.
Also Freightliner is one of my favorite.

I hauled to Central and Southern Europe mostly mushrooms and from there to Finland fruits. Easy loads to carry. And to Russia I had mostly tea and coffee in seacontainers.


Right now I'm in office work at company called "Kaukokiito" and we are doing with general cargo. You may look at it at www.kaukokiito.fi

 

actually my international is pretty nice, my peterbilt is an ugly cabover =). I ran asphalt and stone locally for years, then drove refrigerated loads out of utah nationwide plus canada and Mexico. Now I Haul trash locally from construction sites to landfills for my own company. My websites nowhere as good as yours though - time constraints and poor webskills =)

Gotthard......I now intend to sit on Higge's site. I wish only posting rights for as long as it takes me to transfer my work from your site to Higge's. Those articles are my intellectual property, and this is all I ask of you from now on....it's only fair...

As for me personally, I have made my move to Darwin and am ready to commence work for the RAAF site graves project run by the good spidge....I will post HERE for Spidges Graves project......I have other objectives in mind to do with study/analysis of the Finnish war effort......

Gotthard....no hard feelings......we are going to recover my post about TOP 100 Lufwaffe pilots and then I would like ALL posts by me completely removed......It's not in my nature to be spiteful and I really did enjoy my time on your site, but it has come to an end, and this is my new workstation, one on which I do not intend to get involved in debates,,,just sit here and type articles......Could you please pass on this request?....I cannot even VIEW my own posting, which I find to be very......well, you get the picture..

I intend to go to vbulletin about this issue if my very reasonable request is not met. That site has no right to 'keep' my work for it's own ends....You were quite nice to me Gott, so just remove my posts and we will say nothing more about this....

But if you look at your Freightliner, it looks like there's a sleeping space or is it the same cabin just without a bed..
