Hi everyone. I figured I should stop in and say hello here as I didn't do that when I first joined. My name is Matt, I'm 29 and currently reside in Washington, PA (just south of Pittsburgh). I've always held a passive interest in WWII which meant watching any WWII movie I could find while growing up. It wasn't until I graduated college and actually started reading book after book, that I became really interested in the subject. My grandfather was a cook during the war and I found that interesting but never asked him too much about it. Unfortunately he passed before my interest peaked and I never got to talk to him about his service. Recieving most of his bring-back items, my interest has centered around researching his duty and division. I made a post in the Genealogy Research forum and I want to thank Jeff for all of his comments. When I get some pictures taken, I'll try and post my small collection. There's not a lot of extremely notable stuff but it's all priceless to me. (As an aside, I uploaded a several WWII era photos to the gallery not realizing they weren't going to an album specific to me. If anyone wants to delete those, please feel free and I will put them in an album.)
