    Good morning to you all,

    Yesterday, by googling "Thirimont 1945", I stumbled over this site (thanks to "Nick").

    As a member, for some years now, of other WW-2 related fora I was realy pleased to find another quality forum.

    I live in Belgium, an hour drive from the north shoulder of the battle of the Bulge area. (That was an easy introduction to my main area of interest).

    I like to study (and confront) all available sources concerning (small-unit) clashes in the many villages in the Ardennes. The result of these studys help me in giving (small scale) guided tours for my students.

    As an example: for two days I spent some hours in the village of Tintange where the I (less 2.Kp.)/15 FjR (5.FJD) was confronted on december the 25th 1944 with the advancing I/318th Inf.

    My forum name "WARNACH" links to the small village where the 4. armoured Div (CCA) had its first real fight on route to deblock Bastogne.

    I hope to be able to find (and share) informations on this forum.

    Peter (1966)

    Hi Peter,

    I want to welcome you very much and again thanks for your information about the 5. FSJ.
    I just drove through Warnach yesterday, what are the chances. :)

    About Tintange... bought this one a few weeks ago;
