    Living in Belgium,between the cemeterys I sometimes find soliders who died after the armistice off 1918. slightly one problem. I've not yet found any WW2-soldier on a cemetery who died after ww2 and was buried on that cemetery.

    One fine example is Private Johnson, Harry who died 12 days (!) after the 1918-armistice. he's currently resting at Wevelgem communal.

    CWGC :: Casualty Details

    Can you guys provide me with photos or locations of soldiers from WW2 who died after the war ended ,like Private Johnson?

    Many thanks

    Arneken.

    Hello Arneken. Your casualty probably died in an accident or from illness caught at the front.

    My record: Just check the cemetery of Hoek van Holland on the CWGC, there are British casualties from 1953 (or even later I don't remember) there . If needed I can look up the pictures for you
    On the German side I have pows captured in 1944 and who died in France in 1948 (mine removiing accidents and who were burried at Dreux and later at Saint André Champigny. I suppose that you find 1950s casualties in the East (pows in Siberia) .
