SS Police diamond.

    I am just looking for information on the piece that I just came accross. It is a police insignia with SS runes above it on a black diamond. It is leading me to believe it is a form of the SD diamond but I can't find anything on it.

    Im no ss expert and this is just a wild guess but-it might be SS Police Auxillery???

    That is correct, it is the badge worn on the sleeve by SS/SD personnel by former members of the Polizei. The patch worn by active Polizei is round vs the diamond.

    Thanks guys. I found out a little more on this. It the badge worn by the honary SS and Police Chief Staff. I am now just trying to find photos of it being worn.

    Interesting. I did not see that. I also have not found photos of it being worn. Being that it is not a common item, it could fit with the description you provided. Only thing I found is that it was worm by former members of the Polizei.
