Sup homies. I've had a consuming interest in movies since I saw Disney's "Fantasia" in 1945 at the age of 2. I've had an equally consuming interest in WWII since rolling through the bomb bay of my dad's B29 on the tunnel trolley that was used to get from the flight deck to the navigation compartment at age 3. I'm most at home talking about the air war and the politics that led to that conflict.
'allo, mateys! I am also interested in any bombing activities. I put up a page for my father (now 8 years above the clouds) here and here Always good to hear from bomber kin . . . however, I know next to nothing about B-29s except that the Japanese called them "B-sans" or "Honorable B's." Please tell us more!
My grandpa was in many bombing runs 1944-45 in Europe and we (my mom and I) have just publisheda book that is loaded with details. During the war, he and his wartime sweetheart sent over 225 letters home, and rare theatre pics are also included. If you want to read more details and/or purchase it go to worldwarIIlettets.com Tks.
