the revelation of "Silly Putty"...

    While it didn’t really have a name, or a real use the stuff we call "Silly Putty" was disclosed in this January 1945 issue of Popular Science.

    They never did find a commercial use for the silicone "putty", but with a light pink dye job, and marketing in a plastic egg, millions of kids have over the years.
