Al Gore Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

Alfred Nobel must be turning over in his grave!

 

I guess the title of this thread is a bit of an overreaction...to the first thing I saw this morning. I mean really. How prestigious can an award be that was given to the likes of Yassar Arafat and Jimmy Carter. The headline could just have well read "Al Gore Wins A Cookie" and have been as equally disgusting.

 

I think he should have gotten this for the invention of the internet!

 

He got it for outstanding work in Conspiricy Theory! Art Bell (for the non-Americans this guy runs a national radio program that centers on conspiricies and crackpot callers with tinfoil on their heads....sort of a call in X-Files on the radio) nominated him I'm serial!

 

Will, please provide your street address. I'm going to mail you may monitor and keyboard for you to personally clean of all the coffee I showered them with when I read your piece!

Someone on the radio likened Gore to the Messiah. Then backed off and only said that he was almost as good as Jesus.... last time I checked Jesus didnt like hypocrisy.

Al Gore getting the Nobel Peace Prize is like José Canseco winning the Cy Young Award. (For those who don't know baseball, not only is that impossible, but it would be completely retarded if it did).

 

I was quite surprised, The news I heard on TV says it might boost him for new political ambitions now... I'm not certain he was the best candidate but it could have been worse, so I say why not and we're talking about a Nobel Prize of Peace after all.

 

If it were the Darwin Award then I'd give my entire backing.
