Hey everyone, thought I would introduce myself. My name is Steve, you can call me that or Long Bars, doesn't really matter. I'm from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I've been a huge WWII buff for as long as I can remember, and yet for some reason never joined this forum. I've recently rectified that, and I'm eager to start exploring.
Howdy Steve, good to have you here. Jump on in and have fun. I would think we've had a Yooper here before, but you are the first that I remember to come right out and admit it on the first post.
Welcome Steve, I loved the scenery up there when I drove through a few times while driving OTR. I also found it interesting as to how the state came by the territory itself. Just looking at the map a person would think that should belong to Wisconsin, turned out it was a fight with Ohio over the port of Toledo that got the upper penninsula promised to Michigan at the expense of Wisconsin.
