Inspired by Roel's recent trip to Taiwan, I thought it would be interesting to see where various forum members have traveled to, doesn't have to be a foreign country could be a place that's had some form of impact on you, just nice to see various people's views on the world. So I will start things off with my list Canada (Rugby tour of the Country, based in Ontario, but visited Quebec for a couple of hours, but most of our time was spent in Toronto and Ottawa) Uganda (Mostly based in Jinja, but also visited Kampala and QENP) Jordan (Stayed with relatives in Amman) France (Normanday, The Ardeche, Brittany, The Somme, and another place in the south that I can't remember the name of Belgium (Mostly around Ypres) Spain (Costa Del Sol and the Canary Islands) Cyprus (Mostly around Paphos) USA (Landed In Boston but spent most of my time Snowboarding-well trying to, In Vermont) Channel Islands (Jersey, spent most of my time using handguns over there) Gibraltar If anyone has any questions about my time in these places just say and I'll answer and post pics if I can, and please share yours!!!
All in all I've visited or lived in England, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Italy, Yugoslavia and the US. I'd like to revisit the US now I'm older but avoid the really overtly touristy places (Although that would almost certainly take a lifetime!), I'd like to visit Canada and I'd like to take my family to some of the places I grew up in Germany, although there I think it'd be hard for me in a way because they'll all have changed.
hi, nice topic there. The countries I've been to are - The Netherlands (obvious ) - Belgium - Germany - France - Spain (in fact, one of it's isles) - Czech Republic - Switzerland - Turkey and I'll be off to Portugal in a week's time...
-Most Canadian provinces -Northern United States (I wouldn't recommend) My parents were in the military, so they were pretty much done with travelling by the time they had me and my sister.
I envy those who have been to Switzerland, I would really like to go there, and plan to stay there for awhile in a gap year. What part of the US did you visit Simon?
Off the top of my head: Belgium (Grembergen) Denmark (well, duh) England (Farnborough, London) France (Paris) Germany (Arhaus, Berlin, Hartzen, Munster, The Rhine, as well as many other places) Luxembourg (Luxembourg) Norway (Stavanger) Romania (Bucharest, the Carpathians, the Black Sea coast) Sweden (Axvall, Malmö, Gotland, Skövde, Tromsö, Öland, as well as many other places) The Netherlands (Amsterdam, as well as a large array of the WWII museums in the central Netherlands) USA (Appleton (WI)) Places I'm most keen on visiting or re-visiting: Austria (Vienna) Checz Republic (Prague) Finland (Helsinki, Parola) Poland (Warsaw) Romania (Bucharest, the Carpathians) Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg) Switzerland (Thun) The Netherlands (Amsterdam) USA (The Midwest (looking at abandoned cities), New York)
I envy you all. Although I have been to Australia and I don't think any of you mentioned that country in your list.
My list is actually pretty limited, save for my current adventure. I really want to visit the US, but of course I will need to have a lot of money first... - The Netherlands - Belgium - Luxembourg - France (but it was a long time ago) - Switzerland (same) - Germany - Spain (both the mainland and the Canary Islands) - Norway - England - "Republic of China" Am I allowed to count Thailand because of my flight's stopover in Bangkok?
Usually, the rule is that you can only include countries where you've stayed for at least 24 hours. I did cheat and included Luxembourg, since I stayed with my family there for a whole day, but still.
Let's see... England (most of it, I love it all but mostly the countryside) Scotland (only really the Lowlands) Wales (well, I crossed the border once one afternoon while on a 'castles' study weekend) Eire (only Dublin and the surrounding area) France (Holidayed near Bordeux one year, in a non-touristy area. lovely) Spain (well, I crossed the border once one afternoon while on holiday in France. During siesta time. ) Germany (two weeks Youth-hostelling. Wonderful.) Austria (a week in Vienna staying with friends) Belgium (Well, Brussels Army Museum ) USA (about 4 weeks in total, mostly in New Jersey & Virginia) Where would I like to go? Well, Norway is top of our list. Re-visiting the USA, Germany & Austria would be nice. I'd like to visit the Netherlands also.
Germany Luxembourg England (exactly 1 day) Mallorca (don't know where that is but apparently I went there as a toddler) Belgium France I need to get out more.
Travels. Many by Courtesy of the Royal Armoured Corps! France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Liechtenstein, Egypt, Libya, Palestine, Malta, Ireland (both bits) Wales, Scotland, Luton. AND Luxembourg (sorry missed it)

You europeans are soooo lucky. Travelling within Europe is relatively cheap, no? In singapore, everything is so much more expensive. Oh and before i digress, here's the places i've visited. 1.Malaysia 2.Indonesia 3.Thailand I think that's about it.
Wow Blaster, all this and you're only eleven! the farthest I'd been at that age was 'Wicksteed Park'!
1. Australia 2. Former Czechoslovakia 3. Greece 4. Italy 5. Singapore In Australia I've been to Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT and South Australia and I live in Victoria. I would like to visit most if not all of the countries in Europe (East and West) and Scandinavia... And somewhere NICE in the Middle East or North Africa
