Trying to find information on a WW2 veteran

Im trying to find some information for James Franklin Webster. He was in the navy in world war 2. I dont know much about him but his stepson told me that he was on one of the last ships that made it out of pearl harbor during the raid and later on during the war his ship was sunk. The last ship he was on was the USS Twining. He received the purple heart during the war. If anyone can find some information, please let me know. Thanks.
